Portrait Photography
Photography is a medium to connect myself with the outside world and express my beliefs, emotions and perceptions. Human faces are an wonderful subject to study different emotions of life. Capturing those emotions is one of my personal favorite genre of this field.
The series was shot during the Assamese New Year (14 April, 2021). Bihu being the main festival of Assam, the New Year also called Rongali Bihu brings out celebrations and joy among the people. This series portrays the happiness and excitement to dress up and go out to enjoy the new year
The series was a part of a dancer video shoot. As famously known for Tea, Assam has many tea gardens blessing us with a lot of greenery. The location as well as the expressions of the dancer was so fine tuned with the nature that I couldn't stopped myself from capturing these raw emotions.
